PMVA Training (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression)

This accredited PMVA course equips healthcare professionals and frontline staff with the skills to prevent and manage challenging or aggressive behaviour safely and respectfully. Delivered in line with BILD ACT accreditation and Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) standards, the training focuses on both theory and practice.

The course includes two integrated elements:

Part 1: E-Learning

Before attending a refresher in-person training, participants must complete an online theory module covering:

Causes of Violence Causes of violence and aggression
Confident student mastering conflict resolution skills
Risk Assessment Risk assessment and de-escalation
Safeguarding Duty Safeguarding and duty of care

This module must be passed before progressing to the practical training.

Part 2 : 3 Day Face to Face Training
